Beach-Themed Casual Canvas Shoes

Be casual and inspiring at the beach in a pair of canvas shoes styled with DecoArt® Stylin™ paint.

SUPPLIES

    • paper towels
    • rubbing alcohol
    • pencil
    • 1" flat brush
    • masking tape
    • plastic dish or palette
    • canvas tennis shoe
    • fine tip permanent marker

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Remove the laces from the canvas tennis shoes.

    3. Use masking tape to cover the soles or any other areas you aren't painting.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. In a plastic dish or pallet tray, mix Turquoise Stylin paint with a bit of White Stylin to achieve the desired shade.

    7. Begin painting the heel portion of the shoe using a 1" flat brush.

    9. Mix in more White paint for a slightly lighter shade.

    11. Blend in with the heel to create an ombre effect. Mix in a bit of Aqua and continue painting the sides of the shoe, blending for an ombre look. Paint the area just below the toe bed in White, blending in. Repeat with Beige.

    13. In a clean plastic dish, mix Fuchsia, White, and a bit of Beige to reach the desired shade. Paint the toe portion, being sure to mix into the Beige portion. Let dry, and add additional coat, if needed. Repeat with the other shoe.

    15. Let the paint dry thoroughly before adding the words or quote.

    17. Remove the masking tape.

    19. Add desired words or quote to shoes using a fine tip black permanent marker. Let dry completely and replace laces.
