Painted Castle Onesie and Shoes Set

Give the new baby a royal welcome with a matching onesie and shoes set.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • tracing paper
    • transfer paper
    • scissors
    • pencil
    • wax paper
    • #8 flat brush
    • #1 round brush
    • onesie
    • canvas baby shoes

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Fold up the wax paper to fit in the shoes to keep paint from seeping through.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Undo the shoe laces and push to one side. Use a #8 flat brush to mix (2) parts White with a very small amount of Lamp Black. Use the mix to paint the toe and tongue sections of the shoes. Rinse brush.

    5. Use the #8 flat brush and Ocean Blue to paint all the trim on the shoes. Rinse brush.

    7. Use a pencil and the tracing and transfer papers to trace and transfer the castle outline and the spires onto the shoes. Use the #8 flat brush and Baby Blue Deep to paint the back of the shoes and fill in the outline. Rinse brush. Use a #2 round brush and Ocean Blue to paint the castle spires. Rinse brush.

    9. Use a pencil and the tracing and transfer papers to trace and transfer the castle details. Use a #1 round brush and Ocean Blue to paint on all the details, except the flags. Rinse brush. Use a #1 round brush and Baby Blue Deep to fill in the flags. Rinse brush.

    11. Once shoes are fully cured, remove the wax paper and tie the shoes back into a cute bow.

    13. Remove all tags from the onesie.

    15. Tear and fold the wax paper to fit inside the onesie to keep paint from seeping through to the back side.

    17. Use a pencil and the tracing and transfer paper to trace and transfer the castle outline onto the upper middle section of the onesie. Use the #8 flat brush and Baby Blue Deep to fill in the castle. Rinse brush. Let completely dry.

    19. Use a pencil and the tracing and transfer papers to trace and transfer the details of the castle. Use a #1 round brush and Ocean Blue to paint on all the details, except for the flags. Rinse brush.

    21. Use the same brush and Baby Blue Deep to paint on the flags. Rinse brush.
