Cactus and Banner Shadow Box

You never have to worry about watering this plant because it is painted with Americana Decor Chalky Finish paints.

SUPPLIES

    • scissors
    • flat brush
    • hot glue gun
    • scrapbook paper
    • craft knife
    • twine
    • shadow box
    • round brush
    • flower pot
    • foam core

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Begin with a wooden box. It is just fine if it does not have a backing.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Cut a piece of foamcore to fit the back of the box. Glue into place with hot glue. Paint the inside of the box in pink and the outside of the box in grey with a flat brush.

    5. If you would like, print the provided pattern and cut out to see if the cactus will fit in your pot. Adjust if needed. Use the pattern to cut out the two cactus pieces from foamcore. Assemble cactus and adhere with hot glue if you need to.

    7. Paint the cactus in green and the flower pot in white with a flat brush. Once the cactus is dry, paint X's on the cactus with a round brush.

    9. Place the cactus inside the shadow box on the left side. Cut triangles from paper and adhere onto twine to make banner that will fit on the right side of the shadow box.
