SUPPLIES

    • masking tape
    • shoes
    • flat brushes

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Use a medium flat brush to paint the entire shoe in Black. Let dry. If needed, apply a second coat.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Use a medium flat brush to basecoat the sole in White. Let dry.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Once the sole is dry, paint the toe area Black. Paint the section from the heel to toe White to be a basecoat for the Yellow that comes next. Let the paint dry and cure.
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Use the thin-width masking tape to cover the areas you want to stay Yellow. (Be sure to seal the edges down so the paint doesn't seep through.)
    8. Paint in Black stripes on the areas that are not covered by tape. Remove the tape once the final coat of Black has been added. (No need to wait until it's dried.) Let the paint cure again, and then paint in tiny hearts of Red in the Yellow. (Not unlike the bee wings on the canvas shoes.)
    9. Instruction #5
    10. Add a dotted bee trail over both shoes in White. (Keep it simple, as less is more but definitely put a loop-de-loop on one shoe.)
    11. Instruction #6
