    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Using a sponge brush, paint wooden ornament shapes in solid colors, using Slate Grey, Calico Red, and Snow White.
    2. Paint the top of each ornament Zinc.
    3. TREE ORNAMENT (see photo, at left): Hot glue an arrangement of six buttons in rows (three; two; and then one on top) on Slate Grey ornament shape. Using a black permanent marker, trace a Christmas tree outline around the button tree. Add a little tree trunk and star at top, if you wish.
    4. SNOWMAN ORNAMENT (see photo, middle): Hot glue two white buttons to Calico Red ornament shape. Using a black permanent marker, add some dots for eyes and mouth. Draw two stick arms. Use a dash of Calico Red paint for a carrot nose.
    5. OWL TREE ORNAMENT (see photo, at right): Draw three branches with a black permanent marker on Snow White ornament shape. Hot glue owl buttons as you like on the tree branches. (Odd numbers of buttons, such as 3 or 5, work best.)
    6. If you wish to hang ornaments as a strand, loop red thread twice through the top hole of each ornament.
