Starting with a suitcase, paint a base coat of beige. Apply one to two coats for complete coverage if there is a pattern.
Marking every three inches at the top and bottom, use your ruler to match the markings and create straight lines. Do the same on each side to create the horizontal lines.
Paint the vertical stripes in red using a flat brush. If needed, use painter's tape for easy edges.
Repeat steps for horizontal lines with Deep Ruby.
At the squares where the lines intersect, you can paint them a darker shade of red. Mix together red with a small amount of black for this.
If you would like, you can screw the bracket onto the tops of the legs (this will just help the legs to stand up while they dry). Paint the entire leg in beige. If desired, paint some of the decorative elements on the leg in red with a round brush.
When legs and suitcase are dry you can attach the metal plates in each corner. Once attached you can screw in the legs.
For finishing touches, paint the latches, handle and corner metal pieces in grey.
Using a Basswood Round Plaque, paint a smaller version of the buffalo check like on the table.
Using transfer paper, transfer the buffalo outline onto the plaque. Outline the buffalo in Classic Black then fill in the background, revealing plaid in the buffalo.
