Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. If needed, paint the stick of the broomstick in Americana Multi-Surface in Black Tie using a 1" flat brush.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Use painter's tape to mask off thick stripes on the broomsticks. Be sure that these stripes match up with other brooms. Dry-brush Pumpkin Patch onto broomsticks between the masked areas. Make sure some of the Black Tie shows through in spots. While wet, remove tape carefully.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Very lightly dry brush Black Tie onto each broomstick .
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Using a stencil brush, apply Black Tie to the bristles of each broom, coating some sections more than others.
    8. Instruction #4
    9. Paint the wood plaque shape with two coats of Pumpkin Patch on both sides. Allow paint to dry completely before flipping over to paint other side.
    10. Instruction #5
    11. Using a stencil brush, lightly antique the front edges with Black Tie. Build up color slowly, then very lightly dry brush across the plaque here and there.
    12. Instruction #6
    13. Spell out wording of choice with dimensional letters by sticking them onto a piece of wax paper. Space the letters apart so they can be painted easily.
    14. Instruction #7
    15. Use a pouncer to apply Black Tie to the lettering.
    16. Instruction #8
    17. Apply two to three thin coats, versus one thick coat. Allow the paint to dry completely between coats.
    18. Instruction #9
    19. Position the tarantula embellishment to help determine letter placement. Apply E6000 to the back of each letter and tarantula and lightly press into place on the plaque. Alternatively, hand-paint the letters or use a stencil.
    20. Instruction #10
    21. Use E6000 to add black craft gems in curvly lines to the top and side of the words.
    22. Instruction #11
    23. Attach black ribbon through the plaque holes and tie to hang from the broomsticks.
    24. To display, arrange the three brooms together and hang the sign from the top of one of the broomsticks.
