Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Measure in from the edge of the canvas 1/2" all the way around and make a line with the pencil. Fill in the edge and the sides of the canvas with Shrimp and the 3/4" flat brush.
- Measure up 1-1/4" from the bottom of the canvas and draw a line across with the pencil. Fill in the grassy area with Chartreuse using the 1/2" flat brush.
- Fill in the blue background with the 3/4" flat brush and Blue Bird.
- Use the #3 round brush to add stripes going down on the grass with Soft Jade.
- Using the tracing and transfer papers and pencil, transfer the tree pattern to the sky area in the center, outlining the round part of the tree and the trunk.
- Fill in the round part of the tree with Soft Jade and the 1/2" flat brush.
- Transfer the rest of the tree to the canvas.
- Fill in the trunk and branches with the #3 round brush and Battleship.
- Using the craft glue, attach buttons going around the edge of the sky and grass. (Use any type of pattern you like.)
- Randomly place some of the buttons on the tree. When you like the placement, lift each button and glue down with tacky glue until all are attached.
