SUPPLIES

    • sandpaper
    • dry rag or paintbrush
    • fine/small brush
    • E6000 Glue
    • 3/4" round magnets
    • 2" wood disc

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Use sandpaper to smooth out both sides of the medallions.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Use a dry rag and a quick swiping motion to smooth each color (Lavender, Light Green and Pink) over a medallion. (Don't worry about making the surface entirely solid; a weathered look is what we're going for.)
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Paint petal shapes in the round using Bright Yellow and a small brush.
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Paint a second set of petal shapes in the round, filling the space between the first set of petals, using Pineapple. Paint a circle in the middle in Turquoise Blue and a set of three dots ascending each Pineapple petal. Use Melon to paint dots in the middle of the flower and add one dot on the tip of each of the Bright Yellow petals from the first set.
    8. Instruction #4
    9. Use Turquoise Blue and a small brush to paint a peace sign in the middle of the medallion.
    10. Instruction #5
    11. Using Lavender, paint a ripple around the peace sign and add two dots in the center of each large section of the peace sign. Use Melon to paint a dot above, below, to each side, and in the space between each of these points. (Those make up the flowers around the peace sign, which are completed with dots in Lavender.) Paint additional dots between each flower in Melon and complete the flowers in the center of the peace sign. Paint Pineapple dots in between each Lavender flower.
    12. Instruction #6
    13. Paint a flower shape in Lavender.
    14. Instruction #7
    15. Outline the flower shape in Bahama Blue and paint a circle in the center and two small dots on each side of the flower. Paint a small Lavender dot next to each of those sets of dots. Use Melon to add dots to the center of the flower and around the sets of Bahama Blue dots outside of the flower. Finally, add small dots in Bahama Blue to the outlying Lavender dot.
    16. Instruction #8
    17. Glue magnets to the back of each medallion and allow to dry.
