Stenciled Birdcage Birdhouse

Everyone's attention will flock to this stenciled birdhouse accent with vintage birdcage silhouettes.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • #8 flat brush
    • #12 flat brush
    • cosmetic sponge
    • wooden birdhouse with grass cutout
    • 6" x 6" Birds of A Feather stencil

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Allow to dry between painting steps.

    1. Use the #12 flat brush to basecoat the roof Dark Chocolate. (Avoid the bottom edge, underneath, and the top piece.) Rinse brush.
    2. Use the same brush with Sea Breeze to basecoat the walls and top piece.
    3. Use the #8 flat brush with Citron Green to paint the grass, perch, edge of roof, and underneath of roof.
    4. Place the stencil on the birdhouse where you want it and lightly dip a cosmetic sponge in Dark Chocolate. Dab off the excess paint on a palette or plastic plate before dabbing on the stencil. Use light coats; repeat as needed.
    5. Use the handle end of a #12 flat brush to dot Sea Breeze on the roof.
