Songbird Silhouette Necklace

Add a touch of music to your accessories with this necklace created with Americana DecouPage Glue.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- scissors
- pencil
- #3 round brush
- #6 flat brush
- X-Acto® knife
- tracing & transfer paper
- wooden oval with hole
- sheet of musical scrapbook paper
- black string
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Trace oval on back over music paper in pencil. Cut out with scissors.
- Use #6 flat brush o paint edges of oval Lamp Black.
- Use same brush to cover front of oval with DecouPage.
- Place paper evenly on oval and press from center out with fingers.
- Apply more DecouPage to seal.
- Use X-ACTO Knife to cut off paper around edges.
- Mix one part Staining/Antiquing Medium with one part Heritage Brick. Use #6 flat brush to paint all over paper on oval.
- Trace and transfer design in bottom left corner with pencil.
- Use #3 round brush to paint design Lamp Black
- Cut piece of string to fit neck, thread through top of oval and tie.
