INSTRUCTIONS

NOTE: Allow paint to dry completely before continuing to the next step.

  1. Cut reclaimed wood to the desired size and sand smooth with sandpaper. Use a large flat brush and a very small amount of Patina Green to add streaks onto the board. Use the flat brush with a very small amount of Titanium White to add streaks onto the board.
    Step 0 Example
  2. Position the Brocade Motif Stencil onto the left side of the board. Add a very small amount of Gold (Metallic) to a stencil brush and apply to the stencil. With Gold (Metallic), stencil the bracket from the Initial Impressions - Sleek Stencil into the upper right-hand corner of the board.
  3. Position the Split Angles Stencil onto the bottom of the board. Mix a very small amount of Medium Grey Value 6 with White Modeling Paste. Use a palette knife to spread the mix inside the stencil and scrap off the excess. Remove the stencil and wash it immediately.
    Step 2 Example
  4. If necessary, place the remaining White Modeling Paste in a resealable container. Allow the Modeling Paste on the board to dry completely. Re-position the stencil to extend the angles to the end of the board.
  5. Add dots of Carbon Black onto the angle shapes created in the Modeling Paste.
    Step 4 Example
  6. Transfer the text pattern onto the board. Use a liner brush with Titanium White to paint in the letters. Let dry. Once dry, stencil the opposite side bracket using Carbon Black. (Refer to photo)
    Step 5 Example
  7. Seal the board with a coat of Satin Varnish and add three adhesive backed rhinestones onto the gold brocade motif.
