Americana Decor® Crème Waxes

  • Clear (ADM01)

Other supplies

  • water container
  • palette or plastic plate
  • paper towels
  • hot glue gun (with clear glue sticks)
  • jute, hemp, string, or yarn
  • papier-mâché shape (2" balls)
  • paintbrushes
  • cardstock paper
  • clean rag

  1. Cut the cardstock into triangles, using the provided pattern. Carefully pull out the strings out of the papier-mâché balls, if they are attached.
  2. Paint the balls in Lace. Allow to dry and apply a second coat. Using Romance, paint the stitches on the balls (See the provided pattern for placement.)
  3. Use the pattern to create the baseball banner triangle out of the cardstock. Paint the background in Lace and use Romance for the stitches. Allow to dry.
  4. Attach the string to the balls and triangles with hot glue.
  5. Paint the baseballs and triangles with Clear Creme Wax and allow to dry. Using a clean rag, roughly wipe Golden Brown Creme Wax onto the ball to mimic red clay. Let dry.
  6. Once dry, hang the banner up to celebrate opening day or a baseball lover's birthday.
