Gather school papers fashionably with back-to-school clipboards colored with Americana Acrylics and sealed with Clear Chalkboard Coating.

SUPPLIES

• water container
• palette or plastic plate
• paper towels
• pencil
• 3/4" flat brush
• #8 round brush
• liner
• black fine-point permanent marker

INSTRUCTIONS

NOTES:

Allow to dry between painting steps.

1. Red School House Clipboard: Lightly sketch design on front of clipboard with pencil. (It can be erased later when paint is dry.)
2. With 3/4 flat brush, paint clipboard with two coats of Turquoise Blue on top to Baby Blue on bottom
3. Paint grass using #8 brush from Leaf Green to Foliage Green.
4. Paint schoolhouse using #8 brush and Primary Red. Add accents using liner brush with Light Buttermilk.
5. With #8 round brush, paint tree trunk Burnt Umber and leaves Leaf Green. Add accents in Light Buttermilk
6. Paint clouds and walkway using #8 round brush and Light Buttermilk.
7. Paint bee using #8 round brush and Cadmium Yellow and Light Buttermilk.
8. Paint sun Cadmium Yellow with #8 round brush.
9. Add accents with black marker. Let dry.
10. Using 3/4 flat brush, coat entire surface with two coats of Clear Chalkboard Coating: one coat with horizontal strokes; let dry. Second coat with vertical strokes and let dry.
11. Pink Schoolhouse Clipboard: Lightly sketch design on front of clipboard with pencil. (It can be erased later when paint is dry.)
12. With 3/4 flat brush, paint clipboard with two coats of Turquoise Blue on top to Baby Blue on bottom.
13. Paint grass using #8 round brush from Leaf Green to Foliage Green.
14. Paint schoolhouse using #8 round brush and Carousel Pink. Add accents using liner brush with light buttermilk.
15. Paint flowers using #8 round brush and Carousel Pink, Baby Pink, and Boysenberry Pink.
16. Paint clouds and walkway using #8 round brush and Light Buttermilk.
17. Paint butterfly using #8 round brush and Bubblegum Pink.
18. Paint sun Cadmium Yellow with #8 round brush.
19. Add accents with black marker. Let dry.
20. Using 3/4 flat brush, coat entire surface with two coats of Clear Chalkboard Coating: one coat with horizontal strokes; let dry. Second coat with vertical strokes and let dry.
