metal and glass lantern (the more ornate the better)
paintbrushes
bird figurine (ceramic)
INSTRUCTIONS
Wipe the lantern clean with a paper towel. Remove the glass, if possible.
Paint the lantern in Bluegrass Green on the top and base; Ultramarine Blue on the posts; and Saffron Yellow on the embellishments. If the lantern has flowers, paint the petals in Razzle Berry. Let dry and dry-brush over the Bluegrass Green with Saffron Yellow. Allow to dry.
Glitter the lantern's paints with like colors of Craft Twinkles: Christmas Red over Razzle Berry; Galaxy Blue over Bluegrass Green and Ultramarine Blue; and Gold over Saffron Yellow.
Paint the bird's wings in Ultramarine Blue blending to Bluegrass Green. Paint the belly in Saffron Yellow. Paint the face Snow White and the beak in Lamp Black. (If the bird chosen has other parts, paint them in like colors.) Glitter the blue and green areas in Galaxy Blue and the yellow areas in Gold. All remaining colors can be covered in Crystal.
Hot glue the bird to the wooden square, and then hot glue strings to the corners of the wooden square so that the bird hangs in the middle of the lantern. Affix the ends of the strings to the inside upper surface of the lantern with hot glue. Allow to dry.
