This simple and chic painting, made with Americana® Premium™ Acrylics, is a great addition to home décor.

SUPPLIES

• water container
• palette or plastic plate
• paper towels
• 8-1/2" x 11" canvas board

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Mix Titanium White with both Cobalt Teal Hue and Cobalt Turquoise Hue to make lighter shades of each. Paint quick and loose brush-strokes over the entire canvas board in these mixes. Go back in with just Titanium White to add a few more random strokes.

2. Mix Yellow Oxide, Primary Magenta, and Quinacridone Gold each with a touch of Titanium White to lighten each of them up. Use these mixes to paint "blob" shapes across the middle and top of the canvas, grouping them, alternating between colors, and layering them over each other as well. (Save paint mixes for STEP 4.)

3. Mix Yellow Oxide and Quinacridone Violet each with a lot of Titanium White to make pastel shades of each of these colors. Using the same method as STEP 2, add more flower shapes over the previously-painted clusters.

4. Use the paint mixes from STEP 2 to paint dripping lines coming down from the flowers, alternating the colors as you go and mimicking the colors of the flowers as you move across.

5. Use the Quinacridone Gold mix from STEP 2 to paint a tiny dot in the middle of each flower shape.
