SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • hot glue gun
    • decorative paper
    • small spray bottle of water
    • X-Acto® knife
    • foam board
    • large wooden frame
    • paintbrushes
    • carbon tracing paper

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Photocopy the decorative paper you wish to use to ensure you have enough. Rip the decorative paper and its copies into various sizes.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Remove the frame backing. Lightly spray the decorative paper pieces with water, holding your hand at least 1' back away from the paper. Apply Decou-Page Gloss to the surface of the frame and the back of the paper; lay the paper across the frame; and seal with a layer of Decou-Page painted on top. Repeat this until the entire frame is covered.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Using an X-Acto knife, cut the foam board down to size so that it fits inside of the frame. Paint the entire board in Cobalt Teal Hue.
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Print off the provided pattern and scale it to size. Using carbon tracing paper, transfer the pattern to the board. Paint the exterior bubble of the letters in Quinacridone Violet; the next bubble in Cadmium Orange Hue; the interior of the letters in Quinacridone Magenta; and the highlights of the letters in Hansa Yellow Light. Once dry, apply hot glue to the outer rim of the sign, insert the sign into the frame, and adhere the sign to the frame.
