Gigi Wright-Shattler

My life-long work includes a college degree in Fine Arts, previously owning an Arts and Crafts store; designing special projects for Interior Designers; publishing in numerous National Magazines; teaching art to children and adults in my Gigitales Art Studio; teaching at planned seminars for Chapters as well as Conventions; volunteering time and art at the East Tennessee Children's Hosptial; illustrating a children's adventure story book and creating a family of characters called "Jeetles".

The very nature of what I do, and the style I have developed, is on the whimsical side and includes general motifs of checks, stripes or dots. It is fun to look at and is certain to bring a smile or two. I have learned through the years that doing what makes you smile will generally make someone else smile as well. I like color because I think color makes you feel good. My work is on the happy side of life and by looking you would feel it.

Recently, I have made some changes in my life, and I am now ready to do some travel teaching again. I am in the process of letting all of the Decorative Painters Chapters know that I would be honored to teach a seminar for their chapter. I have recently been published in the Decorative Painter Magazine (June 2013 Issue) and also several issues for Paintworks Magazine and Paint It Today Magazine for June, August, October and Holiday Ornaments Issues. Additional information is available if anyone wishes to have me as a teacher. Please contact me at
