Trinket Pedestal

My daughter's room is one of my favorite places to be in our home. Mostly because I imagine myself as a little girl, growing up and always wanting a pretty room. I love adding pretty little details like flowers, and feminine bedding. When I came across the new Vintage Effect Wash, I knew I wanted to use it on a project in her room. Specifically in pink, because we both love pink.

Items Needed:

  • Sponge Brush
  • Wood Candle Pillars
  • Wood Plaques
  • Wood Glue

Instructions:

Gather your supplies.

Vintage Effect wash gives the most effect when used on any wooden surface because you really get the full effect of the paint. It does a great job and covering the wood without covering the actual wood grain!

Simply use a sponge brush and apply it evenly onto the surface. I like to use sponge brushes because I feel like I have more control, it allows me to get in between the smaller areas and it doesn't leave a brush stroke.

When all the pieces have dried assembly the plaques and the pillars with wood glue or any strong adhesive.

For a little extra glam, I let the surface completely dry and applied Metallic Lustre in Copper Kettle to the edges of the pink pedestal! This is one of my favorites right now! You can seriously use it on everything and it adds such a pretty shimmer to any surface.

These little pedestals are a perfect addition to her room. They can be a holding place for her headbands, watches and any other beautiful little thing she might be wearing for the day.
