Do you have a craft or office space in need of some inspirational wall art? Today, I am sharing a quick and easy tutorial on how to make this DIY Colorful Create Sign. The new 2017 Americana Acrylics paint colors are so bright and vibrant. I paired them with a Metallic paint for a shimmering elegant touch. Handmade wall art is simply the best and easily the hottest home trend.

Instructions:
Start by gathering all of the supplies. The list of supplies can be purchased at your local craft store. I love the Wall DIY Frame Kit because the frame is super lightweight and can be hung or displayed anywhere.

I started by hand painting the Create sign using DecoArt 2017 NEW Americana Acrylics. This sign is made from fiberboard with a wooden finish. It is very easy to paint. I wanted a hand painted look so I didn't use any painters tape to tape off the color changes. If you like a more precise look, go ahead and use tape. I painted each letter a different color. This DIY sign is a blank slate that you can decorate by adding your own creative touches.

I set the sign aside and started painting the frame mat. The white frame is made from a lightweight plastic and looks vintage with a modern twist. Remove the striped mat from the frame. The mat has glossy metallic stripes and I painted the matte stripes using Dazzling Metallics in Champagne Gold. Allow to dry completely.

I cut a piece of word scrapbook paper to fit behind the frame mat. I taped it to the inside then placed the mat back into the frame. Finally, I used a hot glue gun to secure the create sign to the frame. I hope you like my DIY Colorful Create Sign. How would you paint yours?
