Wedding season is upon us and what better way for wedding guests to leave a sentiment than a
beautiful painted globe? Hi, Michelle here from Michelle’s Party Plan-It with a fun Wedding DIY!
Have you seen the new Americana Multi-Surface Satin paints? I fell in love with Coastal Waters
and knew it would be the perfect color for this project paired with the New Americana Decor
Metallics in 24k Gold.
Items needed:
- Americana Multi-Surface Satin Acrylics 2oz - Coastal Waters
- Americana Decor Metallics 8oz - 24k Gold
- Globe
- Paint Brush
- Gold Craft Vinyl
- Cutting Machine
- Metallic Paint Pen
Instructions:
Choose your paints.

I purchased a classroom globe that came assembled which was perfect for painting. I started by painting one coat on the globe halves. Once dry, I applied 2 more coats.

In between coats, I painted the globe base and axis with the Metallics paint.

Once dry, I applied a second coat.

Once all the pieces were dry, I assembled the globe. Next, I used my cutting machine and dies to cut the word “Love” and decorative swirls from gold vinyl. Following the vinyl instructions, I then applied the vinyl to the globe.

And that’s it, a beautiful guest book for guests to sign! Just leave a gold paint pen for guests to leave a sentiment on your wedding keepsake!

This project can be made with any color combination to fit almost any wedding theme.
What do you think? I’d love to hear from you!

Thank you for stopping by!
Happy Painting!
Michelle
