Spring is always such a happy, hopeful time. It's absolutely my favorite season of the year.

That's why I'm so happy to be sharing these DIY Spring Tea Towels. They're so vibrant and cheery!

Items needed:

  • Americana Acrylics 2oz - Sea Aqua
  • Americana Acrylics 2oz - Turquoise Blue
  • Americana Acrylics 2oz - Poodleskirt Pink
  • Americana Acrylics 2oz - Spa Blue
  • Mediums 2oz - Fabric Painting Medium
  • 3 White tea Towels
  • Assorted Brushes
  • Triangle Makeup Sponge

Instructions:

I chose to do geometric shapes, but you could do flowers or polka dots. The possibilities are endless!

First, mix your paint and fabric medium according to the directions on the bottle.

Be sure to put some cardstock or paper under your top layer so the paint doesn't bleed through.

I used some triangle sponges to make my first towel.  Just dip your sponge into the paint and apply your design to the towel.

For another, I painted tiny triangles with a paintbrush.

For the last one, I used the triangle sponges again to do a sort of sunburst.

Once the paint is dry, follow the directions on the fabric medium to set your design.

This project is a quick and easy way to bring a little spring into your home.
