New Years Party Signs

As we ring in the New Year, it really is a time to celebrate! I'm so grateful for all of the opportunities that I have had during 2015, particularly being able to share with you here on the DecoArt blog!
So, to make the New Year special, I decided to create some fun, glittery New Year's Party Signs.
Items needed:
- Dazzling Metallics 2oz - Splendid Gold
- Glamour Dust Sprinkle on Glitter - Gold
- Black Cardstock
- Wooden Skewers
- White Glue
Instructions:
First, create your text template, cut your words out of the black cardstock. Be sure to overlap all of the letters and words so they connect.

For the "Happy New Year!" sign, I used the Splendid Gold to create a fun, splatter design.
Just fill your brush with paint and splatter it everywhere. This would be extra fun with kids involved!

Let that dry before you glue on your wooden skewer.

For the "Yippee!" and "Hooray", I created a Marquee design by using white glue and Gold Glamour Dust.

Just make dots in the center of the letters, and then pour your Glamour Dust over to coat.

When it's dry, shake off the glitter and glue on your wooden skewers.

Now they are ready to wave when the ball drops!
I usually don't make it to midnight, but I might try this year. How will you be ringing in 2016?
