Succulent Centerpiece

I am in love with succulents.  Are you!?  Well even if you aren't, this cute succulent centerpiece can be easily adapted for any flower or plant you like!  Fresh or faux.  And any way you do it, it is super cute and really simple to make!  So follow along to see how to create this cute centerpiece for yourself!

Items Needed:

  • Small, Unfinished, Wooden Crate
  • Small Glass Bottles
  • Faux Succulent Plants
  • Foam Brush

Instructions:

It is a perfect way to add a little pop of green into your home without adding a big huge plant.  And without the stress keeping anything alive!  Plus I think it is super cute.

Instruction Image #1

I began by using my foam brush to paint the wooden crate with my Chalky Finish paint in Vintage.  The photo's don't really do this paint justice but the color vintage is a perfectly pale, mint green/blue that is beautiful and subtle and contrasts the green succulents nicely.

You can decide if you want one coat of paint or two.  I did one coat of paint and loved how it looked.  Chalky finish paint is also really easy to distress so this is a great type of paint to sand and distress if you like.

After the paint was completely dry, I placed my succulents into my glass vases and placed my glass vases into the wooden crate.

I absolutely adore the fun triangle shaped vases I found! They are such a fun and unique bottle and they fit perfectly into the crate!  And these succulents that I found at Michaels Craft were small but perfect for this project!  I loved that I could pair three of them together in each bottle.  It adds a lot of variety and visual interest to the project.

This project was simple to do but I love the beauty that comes from adding a little bit of green into your home!  It is so beautiful and so fresh and perfect for spring home decor!  This would also make a great Mother's Day gift for the hard-to-buy-for-mom!

If succulents or faux flowers aren't your thing. this would also be incredibly cute to use to display small bundles of fresh flowers picked from your yard!  The options are so endless!
