Silhouette Easter Eggs

Eek! I can't believe it's almost Easter. I know Christmas and Halloween are pretty fabulous, but Easter is by far my favorite holiday. There's just something about the hope of warmer weather and flower buds that warms my heart! Easter is one of my favorite months for crafting too! I think it's because there are so many great project ideas for Easter that you can easily include your whole family. When I made these adorable Easter eggs, by two little girls loved creating some right along side me! This is a really easy project for busy moms too.

Items Needed:

  • White Card Stock
  • Scissors

Instructions:

To make these delightful little eggs, all you need is DecoArt Multi-Surface paint, white cardstock, a pencil, scissors, and Decou-Page. The eggs are ceramic eggs that I purchased at Hobby Lobby. You can use real eggs, paper mache eggs, or even plastic eggs will work.

To get started, paint your eggs with two coats of Multi-Surface paint. I am using three different colors for variety.

When you paint is dry, you will want to cut some Easter themed images from light cardstock. I used my Cricut machine to cut these existing images that I had, but you could easily hand draw some shapes, or find free files on the internet.

Don't feel like you have to stick with white paper either. A bright color would look really cool too!

After you cut out your images, just use a strong adhesive to adhere your images. If you want your eggs to last a long time, be sure to put a think coat of Decoupage on the top.
