Throughout 2018, each month we are featuring one of our favorite DecoArt creators here on the blog in a series called Meet the Maker to give you a chance to see some of their favorite DecoArt creations! This month, we'd like to introduce you to Maria Brittis of Simple Nature Decor.

Maria's creativity and love of nature started at a young age with her father being an agriculturist and her mother teaching her how to sew and make projects using items from nature like shells and pine cones. Originally from upstate New York, Maria now resides in Coastal Carolina where she and her husband built their award-winning dream home Maria refers to as her "nature house." After becoming an empty-nester, Maria decided to invest more time into in her love of nature and DIY hobby by started her blog, Simple Nature Decor.
