Enjoy the Journey - Mixed Media Art

Living in the North East, winter seems to last a long time, but there are signs of spring happening all around. That’s what inspired this piece. Each season brings a new journey and beauty in each day.
All the layers of collage paper along with the crackle paint create a beautiful background and focal point and the interference paint draws your eye to just the right spots. I love the texture sand, it adds just the right amount of grunginess to the latches on the suitcases, so they look worn and traveled.
I hope you enjoy this project and you also enjoy the journey.
