Dyed Silk Scarf

Dyed Silk Scarf

Posted by DecoArt on Feb 15th 2018

I love scarfs and sometimes have a hard time finding one in the perfect color and size. They're often too big and bulky or the colors don't match the outfit I want to wear it with. Instead of continuing the search for the perfect scarf, I decided to make my own.

This is a fun and easy project that could be more or less complicated depending on your skill level and the amount of work you are willing to invest.

You can also get your kids involved and make scarfs for their grandmothers, aunts or teachers!

Items Needed:

DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics – Payne's Grey
DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics – Quinacridone Red
DecoArt Americana Extender

Other Supplies:
Square silk scarf (from Jacquard)
Water soluble glue (like Elmer's)
A variety of stencils
Paint dabbers
Masking tape
Paper plates
Sink or washing machine

Thanks for joining me today, see you next time!

Look how great it looks on!
