Turn a simple color clipboard into a beautiful piece of art work with Americana paints!

SUPPLIES

    • #2 round brush
    • tracing & transfer paper
    • clipboard
    • pen or pencil

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. You will need a clipboard, paint brush, transfer paper, a pen or pencil, and all your favorite Americana colors: Winter Blue,Ocean Blue, Jack-o-lantern, Watermelon Slice, Tuscan Red, Cadmium Yellow, Teal Green, Deep Midnight Blue, and Hauser Medium Green.

    3. Use a pen or pencil to trace and transfer the floral pattern onto the clipboard. Use a round brush to double load with watered down Teal Green and watered down Hauser Medium green to paint some leaves. Use same brush with just watering down the colors by themselves to create different shades on all the leaves and stems.

    5. Use a round brush to shade and highlights with watered down Cadmium Yellow and watered down Jack-o-lantern Orange to a few flowers.

    7. Then use the round brush with watered down Winter Blue and watered down Ocean Blue, and watered down Deep Midnight Blue to add two more flowers.

    9. Then use the round brush to water down Watermelon Slice to make little dot flowers at the top. Then use same brush to mix (3) parts Watermelon Slice with (1) part Deep Midnight Blue to paint the last leafy stem in the middle.

    11. Use the round brush to mix and water down a lot of Jack-o-lantern, Watermelon Slice, and Cadmium Yellow to create a soft peach color. Paint the top middle flower while adding more layers of the same mix to shade.

    13. Then use the same brush to layer watered down Tuscan Red, Coral Blush, and Jack-o-lantern Orange to paint the poppies. Then use same brush with watered down Deep Midnight Blue for the center of the poppies.
