    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Apply a basecoat to all land areas with White Gesso.
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Apply Crackle Paste to all land areas with a palette knife. Once completely dry and cracks have formed, apply Modeling paste though any of the words or sayings on the Inspiration or Motivation stencil. Place the words randomly on the land areas. When the words have dried, apply Modeling Paste through the Pixilated stencil on any of the open areas around the words. Bascoat all the water areas with Glack Gesso.
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Working small areas at a time, apply a wash of Pthalo Blue, Quinacridone Red, and Hansa Yellow Medium in separate yet adjoining areas, blending together while wet where they join. A baby wipe helps blend them together nicely. Be sure the colors are quite bright as they will become toned down with antiquing.
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Paint Carbon Black Antiquing Cream over all the land areas. When dry, wipe away the cream with a moistened paper towel, leaving dark color in the cracks.
    8. Instruction #4
    9. Working one design at a time, replace the stencil back over the raised words and dots. Load a cosmetic sponge with Black Gesso and pounce over the design. The stencil will act as a mask to prevent black from covering the background.
    10. Instruction #5
    11. When dry, replace the stencil again and reapply Brilliant Turquoise Metallic Lustre over the black words and dots, leaving some of the black showing. Use a folded paper towel for this.
    12. Instruction #6
    13. Paint the metal base and globe holder with Black Gesso. When dry, skim Brilliant Turquoise Metallic Lustre over the surface.
    14. Instruction #7
    15. Spray Americana Matte Sealer/Finisher over the entire globe and base to protect the piece.
    16. Instruction #8
