SUPPLIES

- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- tracing paper
- transfer paper
- #2 round brush
- 220-grit sandpaper
- foam brush
- 16" wooden songbird arrow
- pencil or letter stencil
- protective surface for painting
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Mix Santa Red and Multi-Purpose Sealer 1:1. Using the foam brush, apply two coats of the mixture onto wooden arrow, allowing to dry between coats.
- Using the #2 round brush, apply two coats of Snow White onto the trim of the arrow. (If a little paint gets onto the edges, it can easily be removed when distressing later on in process.)
- For lettering, use computer to make a pattern with font of your choice. Trace and transfer lettering or use a stencil. Load the #2 round brush and Snow White to paint letters onto the sign. Allow to dry completely.
- Using 220 grit sandpaper, gently sand edges of sign and surface. (The more you sand, the more distressed the sign will appear.)
- Wipe the sign with a damp paper towel to remove excess dust.
- Wash the foam brush. Apply a thin layer of DuraClear Satin Varnish to the entire surface and allow to dry.
