    3. Loosely write holiday wording to torn strips of a brown paper bag (or craft paper), using a black fine tip permanent marker. Using a 1" flat brush, apply a coating of Americana Paper Decou-Page to the areas where you will begin putting down the brown paper. Position the paper and add another layer of Decou-Page on top. Repeat until the canvas is covered.

    5. Cut out the pattern and position it in the desired location with the transfer paper underneath. Using a pencil, outline the circle only. Use a 3/8" angular shader brush to outline the circle in Snow White. Fill in the rest of the circle with Snow White and a 1" flat brush.

    7. Align the pattern and transfer paper again, and trace only the lettering with a pencil.
    8. Instruction #4
    9. Using a #4 round brush, paint the "Season's Greetings" lettering in Emperor's Gold. Let dry between coats. Use the handle end of the #4 round brush to create dots along outside of the circle.
    10. Instruction #5
    11. Position the pattern and transfer paper to desired location for the holly. Paint the berries Deep Burgundy and the leaves Hauser Dark Green with a #4 round brush. Wrap the jute twine around the canvas to achieve desired look. (Shown: wrapped five times.) Tie a bow in the right corner with the jute twine.
