A plain wooden planter becomes a colorful resting place for plants with Americana® Multi-Surface Acrylics.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- stylus or pencil
- tracing paper
- transfer paper
- 1" flat brush
- #12 flat brush
- #1 round brush
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Use a 1" flat brush to basecoat the inside of the wooden planter, Lavender Fields; the outside, Coastal Waters; the side-supports, Blue Bird; and the handle, Apple Green.
- Trace and transfer the pattern onto the planter with a stylus or pencil and the tracing and transfer papers.
- Use a #1 round brush and Chartreuse to paint the vines.
- Use a #12 flat brush to basecoat the flower petals Shrimp and the leaves, Chartreuse.
- Use a #1 round brush and Poppy to outline the petals. Rinse brush. Use Apple Green and the same brush to outline and detail the leaves and vines.
- Use a #1 round brush to add buds with Shrimp and Poppy and Chartreuse leaves at the bud bases.
- Use a #12 flat brush and Lavender Fields to paint the flower centers.
- Use the handle end of a brush and Poppy to dot flower petals.
