    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. For this project, you will need a cabinet door with a word surface of about 11" x 20". (These can be found new at home Improvement stores or used at a Habitat for Humanity-type store.)
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Remove all stickers and hardware before sanding. Fill any holes from hardware with Americana Wood Filler and allow to dry. Sand the shine off the door if there is any. (You can sand as much as you prefer, but it only needs to be sanded enough for the paint to stick.)
    4. Instruction #2
    5. Paint the cabinet door in white. (It may need a couple of coats depending on how weathered a look you are going for.)
    6. Instruction #3
    7. Cut out the provided pattern on a Silhouette machine. Apply it to the door and fill in the words in pewter with a stencil brush. Let dry. Once dry, sand the edges and any other areas to allow the raw wood to show through.
    8. Instruction #4
    9. Mix together Staining/Antiquing Medium with Milk Chocolate according to packaging instructions. Apply the mix to the sanded areas of the project, wiping off any excess promptly. Apply more or less stain as desired.
    10. Instruction #5
    11. When the staining is complete and dry, apply a varnish of choice. Attach the drawer pull at the top center of the sign.
