Matching Robot Terra Cotta Flower Pots

Robotics meets home décor in these unique flower pots for indoor or outdoor spaces.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- 1" flat brush
- terra cotta pots
- 1/4" flat brush
- #0 liner brush
- E6000 Glue
- wooden shapes
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Wipe down the two terra cotta flower pots with a damp paper towel.
- Paint the first terra cotta pot with Splendid Gold (Metallic) on the inside and outside with a 1" flat brush.
- Paint two 2" wooden domes in Splendid Gold (Metallic). (Be sure to paint the front and back.)
- With the handle end of a brush, paint the pupils of the eyes in Wrought Iron Black. Let dry. Once dry, use a liner brush to paint lines coming from the center of the eye to the outside with Pinecone Brown.
- Paint a trapezoid wooden piece in Wrought Iron Black. Let dry. Once dry, add vertical lines in Splendid Gold (Metallic).
- Using E6000 Glue, adhere the eyes and mouth to the front of the pot.
- Paint the inside and outside of the second flower pot with Wrought Iron Black.
- Paint the front and back of two 2" wooden domes in a mix of Wrought Iron Black and a small amount of Grey Skies.
- Paint a large triangle shape in Wrought Iron Black, front and back. Paint small shapes of choice in Grey Skies, Geranium Red, and Tango Blue. Using a liner brush, add line-work to the large triangle in Grey Skies as desired.
- Using a mix of Wrought Iron Black with a small amount of Grey Skies, paint a triangle in the center of the top rim of the pot. Using E6000 Glue, adhere shapes to the flower pot. (Refer to photo for placement.)
