Just Sing T-Shirt

Paint a tuneful t-shirt with Americana® Fabric Painting Medium and Americana® Acrylics.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- palette or plastic plate
- paper towels
- iron
- #12 flat brush
- masking tape
- #0 round brush
- white t-shirt
- shirtboard or plastic-covered cardboard
- transfer pen for fabric
- #10/0 liner brush
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Pre-wash and dry the t-shirt without softeners.
- Insert a shirtboard or piece of cardboard inside the shirt. Smooth out the shirt front. Pull the excess fabric around the back of the board and secure it with masking tape.
- Follow the transfer pen label instructions to transfer the design onto the shirt.
- Mix the Fabric Painting Medium with the paint colors.
- Use a #12 flat brush to paint the left chick Bahama Blue with an Ocean Blue wing; the center chick, Poodleskirt Pink with a Purple Cow wing; and the right chick, Pistachio Mint with a Bahama Blue wing.
- Use the #0 round brush and Bright Orange to paint the beaks and legs.
- Use the handle end of a brush and Snow White to dot on the eyes.
- Use the brush handle end and Lamp Black to dot musical notes and a smaller dot inside the eyes.
- Use the 10/0 liner brush to stripe the legs with Bright Yellow and finish the musical notes with Lamp Black.
- Use the brush handle end to dot flowers on the chick bodies with contrasting colors.
- Use the 10/0 liner brush and Lamp Black to do the lettering.
- Let dry 48 hours, then heat-set with an iron.
