INSTRUCTIONS
- Gather all of your supplies. For this project, you will need a rustic wooden background, driftwood pieces, twine, paints, and brushes.
- Paint the sign and driftwood in Brown. While the paint is still wet, wipe the paint back with a damp rag.
- With a flat brush, dry brush Antique Bronze onto the wooden sign and the driftwood pieces.
- Paint the driftwood pieces to look like fishing lures using Pink Tourmaline, Aquamarine, Sapphire, and Amethyst. Use a dry brushing technique to allow the wood to show through. Once you have the look you like, add a dot of White for the eye. Then, add a dot of Black for the pupil of the eye.
- Transfer the provided pattern onto the top center of your sign. Using a round brush, paint the letters in black.
- Screw in tiny eye-hooks onto the top and bottom of each driftwood piece. Cut (7) 3" pieces of wire. Run the wire through the eye-hook to the halfway point. Twist the wire onto the hook and curve each end of the wire to look like a double fishing hook.
- Cut jute twine to fit the length of sign. String the fishing lures on and use hot glue to adhere the string to the back of the wooden sign.
