"Stuff" and "Things" Dipped Storage Bins

Make storage baskets to match the color of your home using Americana Decor® Satin Enamels™.

SUPPLIES

    • tracing paper
    • scissors
    • painter's tape
    • 1" flat brush
    • #10 flat brush
    • chalk
    • jute, hemp, string, or yarn
    • wooden tag
    • E6000 Glue
    • basket

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Use a flat brush to paint the bottom half of the baskets to look like it was dipped using Moss Green and Seaside Blue. (You can use painter's tape to mark or follow the weave of the basket.)
    2. Instruction #1
    3. Use a small flat brush to apply Black Chalkboard Paint on the wooden tags just leaving a thin wooden border showing. Follow label instructions.

    5. Write on the tags with chalk or make the wording permanent by transferring the provided "things" and "stuff" lettering and fill in with Pure White.

    7. Use scissors to cut the jute that came on the tags. Use new jute to tie the tag to the basket. (Or glue the tag on.) Cut two extra pieces to add two bows and tie at the top of the jute.
