    • 1/4" quilter's tape

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

Let dry completely between painting steps.

    1. Wash cake stand in warm, soapy water; rinse; and dry well before painting.
    2. Alternating painter's and quilter's tape, evenly space stripes on the cake stand dome. Make sure to press the tape edges down firmly.
    3. Use a cosmetic sponge to tap White into open areas on dome. Repeat for opaque coverage.
    4. Run craft knife or razor blade down tape edges to release paint from tape. Carefully remove tape. Let paint dry 15-20 minutes.
    5. Flowers: Use #6 round brush to paint eight petals for each flower. To evenly space petals, paint one each at north, east, south, and west. Paint petal between each set of petals. Load brush with Baby Pink, then scoop up a small amount of Royal Fuchsia with brush tip. Press brush down on cake dome to spread bristles. Pull brush toward flower center, lifting as you pull. Repeat application for each petal. Use #2 round brush and Royal Fuchsia to pull smaller petals between larger petals.
    6. Use #6 round brush to dab Bright Yellow and Royal Fuchsia in flower centers.
    7. Leaves: Double-load 3/4" flat brush with Hauser Medium Green and Citron Green. Blend lightly on palette. Position brush between two petals. Press brush down and turn brush while pulling to leaf tip and then lift.
    8. Use #0 liner brush and Black to outline and add details on flowers and leaves.
    9. Use handle end of #0 liner brush and Black to dot White stripes.
    10. Use 3/4" flat brush and Black to paint top knob section. Use handle end of 3/4" flat brush to add White dots.
    11. Let dry/cure four days and then bake per paint bottle label instructions.
