Colorful Boho Stool

Add seating with a Bohemian touch on a colorfully-topped stool.
SUPPLIES
- water container
- paper towels
- tracing paper
- transfer paper
- pencil
- 1" flat brush
- hot glue gun
- wooden stool
- 3/4" flat brush
- #8 round brush
- clean cloth
- beaded fringe
INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
Let dry completely between painting steps.
- Wipe the entire stool clean with a damp cloth. Using a 1" flat brush, loosely paint stripes on the stool top in Romance, New Life, Inheritance, and Escape. Let dry. Repeat the process to add a second coat.
- Use a pencil and the tracing and transfer papers to trace the design. Use a 3/4" flat brush to paint the flower design with two coats of Romance. Use a #8 round brush to outline in Legacy. Use a #8 round brush to add tiny dots in Inheritance.
- Use a pencil and the tracing and transfer papers to trace the inner portion of the flower. Use a 3/4" flat brush to paint it in Inheritance. Use a 3/4" flat brush to paint the center of the flower in Romance. Use a #8 round brush to add accents in New Life, Romance, and Inheritance. (Refer to photo for color placement.)
- Use a #8 round brush to continue adding details in Romance, Escape, Heritage, and Inheritance. (Refer to photo for color placement.)
- Use a 1" flat brush to add a coat of Clear Crème Wax.
- Use a 1" flat brush to add Deep Brown Crème Wax, applying it heavier around the perimeter.
- Use a 1" flat brush to paint the stool legs in Romance and Heritage.
- Use a 1" flat brush to add a coat of Clear Crème Wax, followed by Deep Brown Crème Wax to the legs.
- Use a hot glue gun to adhere the beaded fringe all the way around the stool seat.
