A Date to Remember Mixed Media Frame

Remember an anniversary day with a mixed media frame using DecoArt Media® Fluid Acrylics.

SUPPLIES

    • water container
    • palette or plastic plate
    • paper towels
    • 1" flat brush
    • 1/4" flat brush
    • cosmetic sponge
    • cardstock
    • pearl beads (optional)
    • wooden frame
    • 3D flowers
    • E6000 Glue

    INSTRUCTIONS

    NOTES:

    Let dry completely between painting steps.

    Let White Modeling Paste dry completely before adding mists and stencils.

    1. Mix a drop of Payne's Grey with White Gesso. Use a 1" flat brush to paint the frame. (Use a 1/4" flat brush to paint the frame sides.)

    3. Mix a drop of Payne's Grey with White Modeling Paste. Use a paper towel to pick up tinted paste and dab onto the frame to create texture.

    5. Spray Violet (Shimmer) Mister onto the frame randomly. Let dry. Once dry, spray White (Shimmer) onto the frame randomly.

    7. Use E6000 Glue to adhere dimensional flowers to the corners. Adhere a decorative pearl to the each flower center.

    9. Position the Americana Victorian Baroque Border Stencil. Use a cosmetic sponge to stencil on Carbon Black. Lightly sponge the edges of the frame in the same color.

    11. Cut a square piece of cardstock to fit inside window frame. Use the Andy Skinner Have Your Stay Stencil to stencil on the date in Carbon Black using a cosmetic sponge. Add the same flourish in corner as used on the frame.
